Council Regulation (EU) No 386/2024 of 19 January 2024 L_202400386

Description

- freezing of funds and economic resources.

Please note regarding the Netherlands, the Dutch prohibition:
On September 22, 2026, the Dutch government imposed a ban on all goods from unlawful Israeli settlements. This ban covers the import, direct or indirect purchase, sale, and trade of products from these areas (exceptions may apply).
When making a customs declaration, importers of goods from Israel must explicitly declare that their products do not originate from a settlement subject to the ban. Furthermore, stricter substantiation requirements apply when goods from Israel are imported regularly or in large quantities, or when there is an ongoing trade relationship with the same supplier.
In the event of a customs inspection, a company must be able to substantiate the declared origin using documentation. This requires the submission of documents such as proofs of origin, supplier declarations, invoices, contracts, and logistics records that indicate the exact location of production or origin.
